Antonio Román, Mayor of Guadalajara, has been in charged for officially presenting a new world level event for this city: The World Karate Championships (Cadet and Junior)
In the previous days and during the competition, it is expected the arrival of almost 5.000 people coming from all over the world. They, together with all the neighbours of Guadalajara, will wrap from the stands of the Pabellón Multiusos to those 1.000 karatekas (even more) that will be representing to more than 100 countries. They are the future of this sport which has deep roots inside the cohabitation and respect values specially among the young people and so, it is an educational example along the world.
The first authority of this alcarreña city has been accompanied by the President of World Karate Federation (WKF), Antonio Espinós; by the President of Spanish Karate Federation, Antonio Moreno; by the President of the Diputacion Provincial of Guadalajara, Ana Guarinos and by the General Director of Sports from the Government of Castilla La Mancha, Juan Carlos Martín.
The expectation in Guadalajara is at maximum level and this city is waiting with open arms and with streets decorated with the flags of all countries that form the World Karate Family.
