Last 2,3 and 4 September, within a brilliant organization by the Italian Karate Federation (FIJLKAM), took place the Congress and annual Championships of the Mediterranean Union of Karate Federations (UFMK). The Congress was electing the new President, as Mr. Giusseppe Pellicone, was leaving the position after a long and fruitful tenure.
There were 2candidates and the 19 National Federations present elected Mr. Bechir Cherif from Tunisia as the new President of the UFMK for the next 4 years by an outstanding majority.
The Championships were running smoothly and with a high participation and quality.
