On Wednesday, September 3, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga, who announced his candidacy for the LDP presidential election, expressed his willingness to do karate diplomacy in response to a joint sports newspaper interview.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga is known as a politician who understands karate because he was involved in karate when he was in Hosei University.
He was appointed chairman of the Karate-do Promotion Council, which was established in June 2014.
Among them, Secretary-General Suga gave a case of diplomacy with Russian President Putin.
“Sports diplomacy is amazing, and no one is doing karate yet (overseas),” he said with a smile.
He showed his willingness to do sports diplomacy through karate.
