The “Full-spec 8K Super High Vision” promotional model video camera featuring world-class cutting-edge technology developed by NHK was used to film several karate champions on February 29th.
The participating models were Mrs. Rika USAMI(KATA), Kayo SOMEYA(KUMITE) and Ayumi UEKUSA(KUMITE). In a special studio, Mrs. USAMI’s kata and a sparring match between Ms. SOMEYA and Ms. UEKASA were filmed. An amazing technological accomplishment, this 8K camera offers 16 times the resolution of 4K High Vision, a frame rate of 120 FPS, and the ability to faithfully reproduce image color saturation. As a competition to express the high level of image accuracy, a form from currently popular karate was selected. This video is scheduled to be performed at the world’s large media broadcast expo that takes place in the United States.
