From June 24 to 26, 2011, a training camp for JKF junior national team members has been held at Nihon Karatedo Kaikan (JKF headquarter) and 12-18 year-old boys & girls, who were selected as the members by screening test in May, gathered from all over Japan.
1st day – opening meeting, Kihon, Kata/Kumite practice were done.
2nd day was just for the selection to choose the representatives for WKF Jr.&Cd. U-21 championships in Malaysia this year.
3rd day – Physical strength test and Kata/Kumite training were done until 12:00. Also T. Sasagawa, the president of JKF visited there to cheer all up.
That was the first official training event for junior or cadet students by JKF. “We’d like to grow up competitors through the generation from cadet to senior”, said S.Kurihara, the vice president of JKF.
